Forest of Love - Episode 1 | A Very Strange Morning
Heartwarming Kids Adventures for Bedtime & Storytelling
Author: Maryam Afzal
It was a
bright, golden morning in the Forest of Love. Birds were singing their cheerful
melodies, leaves were dancing in the soft breeze, and the river was humming its
gentle tune. Everything felt… normal.
Until…..
“HEEEELP!
Someone! Anybody!”
The shout
echoed through the tall trees. Miss Berry almost dropped her basket of fresh
berries.
“That sounds
like Babloo,” she said gently. “And he sounds… upside down?”
Lumi Bunny
peeked from behind Miss Berry’s skirt. “Upside down?” she whispered. “Bananas
don’t usually do that.”
Milo Monkey
swung down from a nearby branch. “This is exciting!” he laughed. “Mornings
should always start with action!”
Giggles
Squirrel zipped past them, giggling uncontrollably. “Hee-hee! I bet Babloo
tried something silly again!”
From high
above, Hudhud Hoopoe flapped his wings calmly and landed on a rock. “Let us
first see,” he said wisely. “Then we shall think.”
Leo Lion
stepped forward, his presence strong and calm. “Everyone stay together,” he
said. “Let’s find Babloo.”
And so, the
friends hurried toward the sound.
The Strange Sight
When they
reached the old mango tree near the river, they all froze in their tracks.
There was Babloo Banana. Stuck. Hanging. Completely upside down.
His peel was
tied to a sturdy branch with a long, green vine. His face was bright red.
“Ohhh, thank
goodness!” Babloo cried out. “My head is full of juice! Please untie me!”
Giggles laughed
so hard he fell onto the grass. “Haha! You look like a bat-banana!”
“This is not
funny!” Babloo groaned. “Okay… it is a little funny. But mostly not!”
Miss Berry
looked up with deep concern. “Babloo, dear, how did this happen?”
Babloo blinked,
swinging slightly. “Well… I was practicing my morning stretches.”
Milo’s eyes
sparkled. “Stretches? Like fitness stretches?”
“Yes!” Babloo
said proudly. “I wanted to be the fittest fruit in the forest.”
Leo raised an
eyebrow. “And you tied yourself upside down?”
Babloo smiled
nervously. “I may have skipped a few safety steps.”
Lumi looked
worried. “Does it hurt?”
“My head feels
fizzy,” Babloo said. “And the world looks… backwards.”
Hudhud nodded
slowly. “Then we must help carefully.”
The Problem Grows
Miss Berry
reached for the vine. “It’s too tight,” she said. “I can’t untie it easily.”
Milo jumped.
“I’ll climb up and pull him down!”
Leo gently
stopped him. “Slowly, Milo. If we rush, someone could get hurt.”
Giggles
scampered up the tree anyway. “I’m great at knots!”
“Giggles, wait…!”
Miss Berry called out.
Too late.
Giggles tugged the vine. The branch shook violently. Babloo began to spin
around like a swinging bell.
“WOOOOAH!”
Babloo yelled. “Stop! Stop! I’m not a merry-go-round!”
Giggles froze.
“Oops.”
Lumi covered
her eyes. “I can’t watch!”
The branch
creaked under the pressure. Leo stepped forward. “Everyone down. Now.”
Giggles slid
down quickly. The branch stopped creaking. Everyone sighed in relief. Babloo
panted, his head still spinning.
“Okay. New
rule. No pulling.”
Hudhud spoke calmly.
“We need a plan. Not panic.”
The Adventure Begins
Miss Berry
smiled warmly. “Let’s think together.”
Milo stretched
his muscular arms. “We need strength!”
Lumi hopped
softly. “We need care.”
Giggles
grinned. “We need fun!”
Leo nodded.
“And safety.”
Hudhud added,
“And patience.”
Miss Berry
clapped her hands gently. “Perfect. Let’s combine all of that.” She looked
toward the river. “Milo, can you bring the soft vine from near the water?”
Milo saluted.
“Fast as a monkey!” He swung away and returned in a flash.
“Lumi,” Miss
Berry said. “Can you talk to Babloo and keep him calm?”
Lumi nodded and
hopped closer to the tree. “Babloo, take deep breaths,” she said softly. “In
through your nose. Out through your mouth.”
Babloo tried.
“In… out… oh wow, that really helps.”
“Giggles,” Miss
Berry smiled. “Can you distract him? But gently.”
Giggles cleared
his throat. “Knock-knock!”
“Who’s there?”
Babloo asked.
“Banana,”
Giggles said.
“Banana who?”
“Banana upside
down!”
Everyone
laughed. Even Babloo joined in. “I needed that,” he said.
Leo stood ready
under the tree. “I’ll support him when he comes down.”
Hudhud flew up
to examine the knot closely. “This knot is clever,” he said. “But not
unbreakable.”
A Small Twist
Just as Hudhud
began pecking gently at the knot—a sudden breeze blew through the forest. The
vine swayed dangerously. Babloo started swinging again.
“Oh no,” Lumi
gasped.
Milo held the
soft vine tight. “I’ve got it!”
Leo positioned
himself firmly. “I’m here.”
Miss Berry
spoke calmly. “Everyone breathe. Slowly.”
Babloo gulped.
“I promise I will never stretch again!”
Hudhud smiled.
“Stretching is good,” he said. “Unsafe stretching is not.”
With one final
peck… Snap!
The knot
loosened. “Now!” Leo said.
Milo and Leo
guided Babloo gently down. Babloo landed softly on the lush grass. Everyone
cheered.
“I’m free!”
Babloo cried. He hugged everyone. “Even the tree! Sorry, tree.”
The mango tree
rustled its leaves happily.
Calm After the Chaos
Babloo sat
down, dizzy but smiling. Miss Berry gave him some cool water. “Slow sips,” she
said.
Lumi patted his
peel. “You scared us.”
Babloo looked
down. “I scared myself too.”
Giggles sat
beside him. “So… upside-down fitness didn’t work?”
Babloo
chuckled. “Nope. Turns out, confidence without thinking can flip you over.”
Milo nodded
seriously. “Fitness is great. But you warm up. You stay safe.”
Leo smiled.
“And you ask for help.”
Hudhud spread
his wings. “Wisdom grows when we learn from mistakes.”
Babloo looked
at everyone. “I wanted to be the best. I didn’t want to look silly.”
Giggles gasped.
“But being silly is fun!”
Everyone
laughed again. Miss Berry said warmly, “You don’t have to prove anything,
Babloo. We like you just the way you are.”
Babloo’s eyes
softened. “Even when I mess up?”
“Especially
then,” Lumi said.
Gentle Ending & Moral
The sun climbed
higher into the sky. The forest felt peaceful once again. Babloo stood up
slowly.
“Next time I
try something new… I’ll ask first.”
Milo grinned.
“I’ll be your fitness buddy!”
Giggles winked.
“And I’ll be your joke safety net.”
Leo nodded
proudly. “That’s teamwork.”
Hudhud looked
toward the sky. “A strange morning can teach a gentle lesson.”
Miss Berry
picked up her basket again. “Come along, everyone. Breakfast is waiting.”
As they walked
away, Babloo looked back at the mango tree. “Goodbye,” he said. “And… sorry
again.”
The leaves
rustled, almost like the tree was laughing. And so, the Forest of Love returned
to calm, with one more story in its heart.
